James was abducted by his non-custodial father, James Arthur Stevens. A felony warrant was issued for the abductor on November 6, 1992. The composite photo of the child reflects what he may currently look like. Presently there is no accurate physical description of the child.On July 1, 1985, James Arthur Stephens, Sr. left Birmingham, AL, with James Arthur Stephens, Jr. and has not been seen or heard from since by the family. On January 24, 1986, custody of James, Jr. was awarded to his mother, Shelia Sellers, through the Circuit Court in Birmingham, AL. James, Sr., has relatives in Jefferson and Saint Clair Counties (Alabama). A warrant for interference with custody has been issued on James, Sr. by the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department.
